ROOFING DONE RIGHT. START TO FINISH.

Roof Insurance Claim Help in St. Louis, MO

If hail or wind may have damaged your roof, CGR Legacy Construction can inspect and document roofing conditions, provide a construction estimate, attend the property inspection to point out observed roof conditions and answer roofing questions, and help you understand the written roofing scope. Your insurance carrier determines coverage and claim payment.

Evidence matters with insurers. Read about documenting storm damage for a claim.

CGR supports the construction side of a roof insurance claim. We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster, and we do not determine coverage or negotiate claim settlements.

If Insurance May Be Involved, Start With Safe Documentation and Clear Communication

When possible, avoid permanent repairs before the insurer has had an opportunity to inspect the claimed damage. Emergency protection needed to prevent further damage should be documented carefully.

Who Does What? Keep the Roles Clear

Homeowner / policyholder

Reports the claim, communicates with the insurer, chooses contractors, reviews policy information, and makes property decisions.

reviewing-claim

Insurance carrier / adjuster

Evaluates the claim under the policy, determines coverage, reviews the loss, and determines claim payment / covered scope.

Clear Roofing Documentation From Inspection Through Construction

When insurance is involved, CGR’s value is construction clarity. We document what is physically present, prepare roofing estimates, and help the homeowner understand what the roof work involves.

  • Inspecting roof conditions after hail, wind, debris, or related storm damage
  • Photographing and documenting visible roofing / exterior conditions
  • Explaining what the inspection found in plain construction language
  • Preparing a roofing repair or replacement estimate based on observed conditions
  • Attending an insurer’s property inspection when coordinated, to point out observed roof conditions and answer construction questions
  • Comparing a written roofing scope with observed conditions and CGR’s construction estimate
  • Providing additional construction documentation, photos, measurements, or estimate detail for the homeowner / carrier to review when needed
  • Completing the contracted roofing work and providing normal completion documentation

What Happens at the Insurance Adjuster Inspection?

The insurance company’s adjuster evaluates the reported loss for the carrier. If the homeowner wants CGR present and the timing is coordinated, CGR can attend as the roofing contractor to point out observed roof conditions, share construction documentation, and answer roofing / scope questions.

CGR MAY:

CGR DOES NOT:

Understanding the Roofing Scope After the Adjuster Inspection

After the carrier provides a written roofing scope or estimate, CGR can review it from a construction standpoint and compare it with the roof conditions, measurements, and project requirements CGR observed.

A construction-side scope review may include:

Comparing roof quantities and measurements

Comparing listed roofing components with the planned construction

Checking whether observed damaged / required construction items are represented

Explaining construction line items to the homeowner in plain language

Preparing supporting photos, measurements, manufacturer / code information when relevant, and construction estimates for review

The carrier determines what is covered and what it will pay. CGR can explain construction differences and provide supporting contractor documentation, but does not negotiate the insurance claim on the homeowner’s behalf.
